2012-13 SLVBD Season Is In Full Swing

The 2012-13 San Lorenzo Valley Business Directory sales season has begun. As we enter our 29th year of publication, I take great pride in knowing I have kept the Directory going for six years. The thing that has been reinforced for me over this time is that advertising works. It takes repetition to get the word out there, but it spreads like wildfire when on the loose. It’s important to be persistent, so that people recognize your business name over time.

San Lorenzo Valley residents recognize the Directory, and value it. Many report using this online version from their phones and when on the go. And those who haven’t embraced technology to its fullest, keep a spare copy in their car.

There are nearly 900 businesses in the valley, many are home based and tucked in the woods. Please contact SLVBD if you have a business, and would like to be listed.

It’s always the right time to advertise. Advertisers can now sign up for 2012-13 season online. By following an easy form on our Advertise page, your business can be on its way to increasing its good image in just a few minutes.

Promoting your business is the only way to stay visible. Local people want local services, from names they recognize. Advertising in the San Lorenzo Valley Business Directory builds name recognition for your business. SLVBD is the perfect venue to showcase your business to local residents.

Get noticed in the San Lorenzo Valley and attract local customers. Advertise your business, sign up today! Remember, shop locally!

Get Ready for Fall and Support Local Business

Support our local economy by using San Lorenzo Valley's goods and services.

Fall is in the air, and local residents are looking for services to prepare them for the cold. San Lorenzo Valley Business Directory is a great resource for easily finding the necessary services.

Going through the back cover advertisers (shown with this post), one can get their house patched up by Paul B. Lawton Construction, or patch it himself by buying supplies at Scarborough Lumber.

Palo Alto Medical Foundation is there for people who feel under the weather during this time of seasonal change.

And if moving into a new house, or buying land is on the agenda, Donner Land & Mortgage Co. Inc. is the business to see about that.

Using goods and services that come from these trusted professionals keeps the economy local, and brings vitality as well as jobs into the area. It also provides the convenience of doing business with someone who is nearby, and understands the local needs.

Look for these and other fine services in the San Lorenzo Valley Business Directory, www.slvbd.com.

In other news, we are already looking for next year’s cover art. Read about the much anticipated San Lorenzo Valley Business Directory covert art contest at www.slvbd.com/art_contest.php, and tell all your friends to enter. Cover spot wins $100!
